Continuing Education policies

1. Confidentiality of Participant Information

We protect the confidentiality of participant information related to our programs, including the identity of participants, materials submitted by participants, and information received from participants, including but not limited to name, address, email address, and financial information. We maintain secure records of participant information.

In the event of a breach, we will promptly notify affected parties and take appropriate measures to mitigate any potential harm.

2. Program Complaints

If a participant or potential participant would like to express a concern about us or a continuing education program provided by us, the individual may email info@psychedelicaffirmingeducation.com. Although we do not guarantee a particular outcome, we will consider the complaint, make any necessary decisions, and respond within 10 business days.

3. Fees, Refunds, and Cancellations

  • Fees: Program fees are displayed on each program's registration page. All fees must be paid in full before accessing course materials.
  • Refunds: Due to the immediate access provided to our pre-recorded content, we do not offer refunds once a program has been purchased.
  • Cancellations and Transfers: As our programs are pre-recorded and available for immediate access upon purchase, we do not allow cancellations or transfers of registrations.
  • Provider Cancellation: If we need to discontinue a program, participants who have yet to access the content will receive a full refund.

4. Attendance

We verify the completion of home study programs through an assessment that demonstrates that the participant completed the program. No partial credit is awarded for incomplete participation.

5. Program Materials

We ensure that materials used in home study programs are and remain directly relevant to the program content, and must reflect current information, research, and professional knowledge.

We conduct systematic reviews of our program materials every three years to ensure they remain current, relevant, and reflect the latest professional knowledge. Subject matter experts are involved in this review process. We have established criteria for updating or retiring materials based on relevance to the program content; reflection of current information, research, and professional knowledge; participant feedback; legal and regulatory changes; and usage and engagement metrics. Materials that no longer meet our quality standards in these areas are promptly updated or retired.

We ensure that all program materials do not violate or infringe upon any privacy or intellectual right of any other party, including copyright, trademark, or license rights.

6. Record Keeping and Retention

We maintain complete and accurate copies of records for all programs for a period of at least 5 years.

7. Disclosure or Use of Client Information in a CE Program

None of our presenters or participants will disclose client information unless proper informed consent has been obtained for use in a continuing education program. Composites of real-life case examples are commonly used in continuing education programs to provide examples or facilitate role plays or discussion while maintaining confidentiality.

8. ADA Accommodations

We conduct all programs in a manner consistent with the requirements of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and similar state, federal, and local laws. We provide appropriate accommodations to program participants with legally-recognized disabilities, including physical, visual, and auditory disabilities.

To request accommodations, please contact us at info@psychedelicaffirmingeducation.com. Our team will guide you through the process, ensuring a smooth and efficient experience. We will evaluate all requests and respond within 10 business days.

9. Prohibited Discrimination

We do not discriminate against any individual or group with respect to any service, program, or activity on the basis of gender, race, creed, national origin, sexual orientation, religion, age, organizational membership, or any other basis prohibited by law.

10. Accuracy and Editorial Standards

All educational content published by Psychedelic Affirming Education, courses, course materials, and articles on our blog, is held to the following standards:
  • Evidence-based and sourced. Empirical and clinical claims are grounded in peer-reviewed research or primary regulatory sources and are cited so participants can verify them. Where a study has a DOI, we link to the original rather than to a secondary summary.
  • Accurate characterization of evidence. We represent the strength and limitations of findings honestly, including sample size, study design, and replication status. We do not describe preliminary or contested findings as settled, and we distinguish preclinical from clinical evidence.
  • Balanced on risk. Discussion of potential benefits is accompanied by contraindications, adverse effects, and limitations. We use measured efficacy language and name the specific compound and condition rather than overstating.
  • Current. Regulatory and legal status (FDA, DEA, Oregon Psilocybin Services, and state licensing boards) is verified against primary sources at the time of writing or revision. Materials are reviewed on the schedule described in Section 5 and updated or retired as the evidence and law change. Articles carry a visible publication or last-updated date.
  • Authored and reviewed by qualified clinicians. Content is created and reviewed by licensed clinicians and subject-matter experts, and author credentials are disclosed.
  • Education, not promotion or individualized advice. Our materials are educational. They are not individualized clinical, legal, or financial advice. Responsibility for applying CE content within one's own scope of practice and jurisdiction rests with the licensee.
  • Corrections. If you identify an inaccuracy, email info@psychedelicaffirmingeducation.com. We review and respond within 10 business days, correct confirmed errors promptly, and note material updates.
